By Hosting the So-Called Brahim Ghali, Spain Ignores Diplomatic Habits and Customs – Party

The Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) has categorically rejected the hosting by the Spanish authorities of the leader of the Polisario separatists, the so-called Brahim Ghali, saying that this act disregards the diplomatic habits and customs and the laws governing international relations. The members of the party’s political bureau express their “categorical rejection of the unacceptable attitude of the Spanish authorities following the hosting, under a fake identity, of the leader of the polisario separatists, a war criminal prosecuted by the Spanish judiciary,” said the PAM in a statement issued at the end of the weekly meeting of its political bureau. The members of the political bureau condemned this “reprehensible behavior that has not respected the least of diplomatic habits and customs and laws governing international relations.” The Spanish authorities have “trampled on the traditions of good neighborly relations between the Moroccan and Spanish peoples without taking into account the common bonds of cooperation and support,” they noted. They also expressed their satisfaction with the content of the last meeting of the Security Council on the conflict over the Moroccan Sahara, stressing that Morocco was able to expose and thwart the maneuvers of the enemies of the territorial integrity. The members of the political bureau welcomed the success of the visit of the delegation led by the party’s Secretary-General Abdellatif Ouahbi in Tunisia. This visit aimed to deepen fraternal ties, consolidate political relations with Tunisian parties and parliamentary groups and work to strengthen the dialogue between the various Moroccan and Tunisian political actors, with a view to expanding this dialogue and this rapprochement to all political parties in the Maghreb, the statement said. Regarding the upcoming elections, the members of the Political Bureau reaffirmed their commitment to the positions of the party announced by its Secretary-General. On the preparations for the upcoming elections, the political bureau highlighted the good organization of the organs and bodies of the party throughout the Kingdom, as well as the progress made in terms of applications concerning all categories.
